Joseph A. Kennedy was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 20, 1970.  Mr. Kennedy attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada as well as high school in Lawrence, Kansas. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1994 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and worked as an accountant from June 1994 to April 1996.  In 1992, Mr. Kennedy obtained his real estate salesman license and began working as a sales associate in the commercial real estate market.  In 2004, Mr. Kennedy obtained a real estate broker’s license and opened J.A. Kennedy Real Estate Company.  J.A. Kennedy Real Estate Company currently contracts with four Nevada real estate licensees and employs 12 people to operate the real estate office, manage commercial properties and work on real estate development projects.  As part of the real estate activity, Mr. Kennedy has formed and managed 100⁺ real estate investment entities and has closed more than $500,000,000 in transactions since the inception of J.A. Kennedy Real Estate Company.  Mr. Kennedy has also developed several retail, office and industrial complexes throughout the Las Vegas Valley.  Mr. Kennedy is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Building Owners and Managers and the National Association of Convenience Stores.

In addition to his work in real estate, Mr. Kennedy has been married for more than 20 years and is raising four beautiful children.  He also created a unique brand of convenience stores named “Fills.”  The first Fills convenience store opened in March 2006 and the concept grew to more than five stores; the business was sold in 2016 after an incredible decade of success.  Mr. Kennedy is also generous with his time and funds, giving both to organizations such as UNLV, UNLV Library Board, The Meadows School, Bishop Gorman High School, Chosen for Success, Boys and Girls Club, and CORE Academy as well as supporting numerous sporting teams throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
